08/10/2019

M/Y Flying Dagger is a streamlined sporty 50-meter Rossi Navi luxury yacht project delivered in July 2018 and managed for the owner by Nicola Nicolai Yacht Consulting & Project Management in partnership with Azure Yacht Design and Naval Architecture.

Showcased for the first time at MYS 2018, this fast displacement all-aluminium superyacht below 500 GT, is the utmost example of Italian craftsmanship and design.

Perfectly executed by the Italian yard Rossi Navi, it is the most powerful and quietest project ever built by the yard. Exterior lines by Italian designer Enrico Gobbi Team for Design, interiors by Lazzarini Pickering Architetti, naval architect by Arrabito Naval Architects, owner’s representative and project management by Nicola Nicolai Yacht Consulting & Project Management in partnership with Azure Yacht Design and Naval Architecture, M/Y Flying Dagger is equipped with three MTU 16V 2000 engines, designed for a top speed of 30 knots, a cruising speed of 23 knots, and a range of 3,300 nm at 12 knots.

Project management played a key role in the completion of this innovative superyacht. By coordinating and conveying the energies of all parties involved into a common objective, which is the best interest of the project, the decision processes were made smoother and timely helping speeding up the production in order to deliver the project on time, on budget and according to the agreed quality standards.

Nicola Nicolai says, “As onwer’s representatives and project managers we made sure the owner enjoyed the building process, overseeing and managing the construction on his behalf and protecting his investment during the entire project.”
