Together, they have decades of experience in project managing and consulting, combined with marketing and communication skills. We build each project team involving the most qualified professionals in the industry who have a proven history with our Company in accordance with the specific needs of each project.
We manage the project during all stages of the design, engineering, construction and delivery of the yacht, by managing, coordinating and supervising the development of the project and all professionals involved, from designers to the shipyard.
We advise our clients through the entire process providing them with expert recommendations on the best solutions to improve the final result and protect their investment, leaving them only the enjoyment of the project.
FOUNDER & CEO
Nicola Nicolai is Founder and CEO of Nicola Nicolai Yacht Consulting and Project Management. With nearly 20 years’ experience in the superyacht industry, in 2017, at the age of 42, he decided the time was right for a new challenge and started his own consulting company.
Graduating in Architecture and Yacht Design from Florence University of Architecture, Nicola started his career in 2000 as Design and Engineering Coordinator for North American Yachts and Shipbuilding. In 2003 he moved to Riva, a Ferretti Group Brand, as Project Manager responsible for Riva Athena 115’ series, where he remained until 2006. He then started working at Benetti as Project Manager of full custom yachts in 2006. Soon appointed Head of Project Management Department, at this time Nicola, acting as interim Sales Director, leaded the “Benetti Design Innovation Project”. Director of Product & Project Management, Planning, Budgeting & Cost Control between 2012 and 2016, he managed new builds of semi custom and full custom projects from 30 up to 90+ mt.
Product Development Director, in charge of product development of semicustom and full custom new projects in 2017. During his career Nicola has collaborated with the most important owners, designers, naval architects, brokerage, management and survey companies in the superyacht industry. He managed projects such as Benetti’s 70mt Spectre, 45mt Domani, 61mt Diamonds Are Forever, 65mt Seanna, 64mt Silver Angel, 56mt Annaeva, Riva 115’ Athena series, Genesis 153’ and many others.
Combining his professional experience with his natural passion for yachts, he developed a 360-degree knowledge of product and process, from negotiation to design, engineering, production and delivery of superyachts. Nicola loves to manage projects where ideas become reality.
SERENA BARTOLONI SAINT OMER
CO-FOUNDER & MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION MANAGER
Serena Bartoloni S.Omer is Co-Founder & Marketing and Communication Manager of Nicola Nicolai Yacht Consulting and Project Management. Graduated in Business Law from Bocconi University of Milan, she has a solid background in Marketing and Communication in the Luxury Goods Industry gained while working as Marketing Intelligence and Product Manager for leading fashion brands, Salvatore Ferragamo and Bally. Serena collaborated on strategic projects such as the co-branding between Salvatore Ferragamo and Maserati, worked along Bain&Co in the coordination of the consulting project for Salvatore Ferragamo aimed to enter the business of jewels, worked together with Salvatore Ferragamo Vice President to analyse the market’s opportunities to create a collection dedicated to the product icons which made the history of the brand, the “Ferragamo’s Creations” collection.
She recently worked as Marketing and Communication Manager and Consultant for leading international groups specialised in the industry of converting machinery for the paper industry, Fosber Spa and Fabio Perini Spa, Körber Paperlink Group. She believes in the power of tailored consulting services and loves facing new challenges.
